The news agency report includes an interview with one of the archivists, who says no part of the destroyed archival material had been digitized or filmed. Much of what was burned was from the oldest part of the State Archive’s collection, material documenting Austro-Hungarian period, 1878-1918, of Bosnia’s history (the pre-1878 Ottoman provincial archives were in the Sarajevo Oriental Institute and were burned when it was shelled by the Bosnian Serb Army in May 1992).

Protesters chain tied to the Museum entrance
